Your medical and dental plan options remain unchanged. If you do not make changes to benefits during open enrollment, your current benefits elections will remain in effect in 2022. However, you will not be enrolled in an FSA for 2022.

What’s New for 2022

Modest rate changes to medical and dental plans

We are implementing modest premium increases for our medical and dental plans. For 2022, vision premiums are lower. This enables us to keep up with the growing demands of health care inflation while minimizing the impact on our employees. After keeping employee premium increases flat for the 2021 plan year, these slight increases will help us maintain comprehensive plan designs and contribution structures now and in the future.

New, enhanced vision plan vendor for 2022

  • Our vision plan will be administered by Superior Vision.
  • You will continue to have both in-network and out-of-network coverage options
  • In-network benefits have been enhanced: Exams will have a $0 copay and materials will have a $10 copay with most materials covered in full.
  • The top 50 national retailers are in-network. You will also have online retail network options.

Healthy at Hopkins rewards program enhanced; tobacco-free credit eliminated

To emphasize our attention to your overall well-being the Healthy at Hopkins rewards program will be enhanced for 2022, and the tobacco-free credit will be eliminated. You’ll continue to be rewarded for healthy behaviors such as movement, sleep and reducing stress, plus you’ll have opportunities to earn more. Watch for details and information in the coming weeks.

Prepaid Legal Services

MetLife prepaid legal services offers a special group rate to employees who participate. You can receive legal advice for a wide range of matters, including identity theft, defense of civil lawsuits, will preparation, premarital agreements, and real estate issues. Sign up during open enrollment.
